W.0. declined to incur the cost (part of which would have fallen Imperial & part on Colonial funds)
for removing part of their Barracks to the hills; but since then arrangement has been made for the extension of the Naval Yard at Haiphong is not mentioned, however it is stated that under which Admiralty has bought the North Barracks (see sketch plan in 23834/96) with the money obtained from the Admiralty they have now bought Mount Austin Hotel.
